Workshop di Street Photography con Francesca Chiacchio | 6ª edizione

da venerdì 16 a domenica 18 ottobre 2026 | c/o Spazio Tangram Napoli

Questo workshop è indirizzato sia a chi da poco si è avvicinato alla fotografia di strada sia a coloro che vogliono perfezionare i propri scatti e portarli ad un livello superiore. Il docente, attraverso l’analisi di immagini, proprie e dei partecipanti, evidenzierà gli elementi che compongono una buona immagine fotografica, e guiderà i partecipanti al posizionamento di tali elementi in maniera equilibrata all’interno dell’inquadratura. Si parlerà di background (sfondo) e di foreground (primo piano), di vuoti e di pieni, di luci e di ombre, di soggetto principale e di elementi secondari, di layers e di overlaps (sovrapposizioni).

Il workshop è riservato ad un massimo di 10 partecipanti.

VENERDì 16 OTTOBRE 2026

Introduzione alla composizione fotografica nella Street Photography.
Revisione dei portofolio, in base al quale il docente indirizzerà i partecipanti su cosa scattare.

SABATO 17 OTTOBRE 2026

h.10:00-13:00
• Sessione fotografica in strada. Il docente affiancherà di volta in volta ogni singolo partecipante.
h.16:00-19:00
• In sede a Spazio Tangram: revisione scatti della giornata. Selezione di circa 5 foto ciascuno.

Chi tiene il Workshop: Francesca Chiacchio

Francesca inizia a scattare e stampare foto mentre studia architettura a Napoli. Dopo essersi laureata, si iscrive ad un corso intensivo di fotografia di 3 mesi e subito dopo si trasferisce a New York, con l’idea di diventare una fotografa professionista. Arrivata lì, lavora come architetto per oltre 8 anni, continuando a fotografare nel tempo libero. Tornata a Napoli, nel 2017 si appassiona alla Street Photography, e dal 2019 il suo lavoro è stato esibito in vari festival e mostre di fotografia ed è apparso su numerose riviste e pagine web nazionali e internazionali. Dal 2020 Francesca è membro del collettivo internazionale di street photography “Through the Lands”, il cui scopo è connettere fotografi da varie parti del mondo. Nel 2021 appare tra le 100 “Women Street Photographers” nel libro edito da Prestel Publishing. Nel 2023 un articolo su Francesca appare sulla rivista Il Fotografo. Nello stesso anno viene contattata da Fujifilm Italia per narrare una loro X-Story; e vince il secondo premio al Gothenburg Street Photo Festival con la serie Napolism. Sempre nel 2023 Francesca è chiamata a collaborare con la rivista internazionale di street photography Eyeshot Magazine per condurre una serie di esperienze fotografiche a Napoli durante la mostra “Eyeshot Open Call 2023” presso Magazzini Fotografici. Nel 2024 il suo nome appare sulla rivista online Fotocult.it tra 5 maestri della fotografia di strada (assieme a Martin Parr, Stefano Mirabella, Eolo Perfido e Gabriele Galimberti); e pubblica la sua prima Zine con la rivista Docu Magazine. Nel 2025 ha esposto il suo progetto Napolism al Festival Fotografico Europeo in Legnano (MI). Francesca è stato giudice e guest speaker in diversi festival internazionali di street photography (Gothenburg, Istanbul, Athens, Brussels and Rome) e conduce workshops sia in Italia che all’estero.

Tutte le quote non sono rimborsabili se ci si ritira da un workshop meno di un mese prima della data di inizio, a meno che non si riesca a riempire i posti disponibili.

Street Photography Workshop with Francesca Chiacchio | 6ᵗʰ edition

16ᵗʰ to 18ᵗʰ october, 2026 | c/o Spazio Tangram Napoli

This workshop is aimed at both those who have recently approached street photography and those who want to perfect their shots and take them to a higher level. The teacher, through the analysis of images, both his own and those of the participants, will highlight the elements that make up a good photographic image, and will guide participants to the positioning of these elements in a balanced way within the frame. We will talk about background and foreground, empty and full, light and shadow, main subject and secondary elements, layers and overlaps.

Workshop will be held in English and Italian.

The workshop is reserved for a maximum of 10 participants.

WORKSHOP SCHEDULE

The workshop will be divided into three days

Day #1: Friday october 16ᵗʰ, 2026

18:00-20:00

At Spazio Tangram

Introduction to photographic composition in Street Photography.
Portfolios reviews, based on which the teacher will direct participants on what to shoot.

Day #2: Saturday october 17ᵗʰ, 2026

• Street photography session. Teacher will accompany each participant from time to time
h.16:00-19:00
• At Spazio Tangram: review of the day’s shots. Selection of approximately 5 photos each.

Day #3: Sunday october 18ᵗʰ, 2026

The teacher: Francesca Chiacchio

Francesca started shooting and developing photos while studying architecture in Naples, Italy. After graduating, she enrolled in a 3-month intensive photography course, and soon after she moved to New York, with the idea of becoming a professional photographer. Once there, she ended up working as an architect for 8 years, taking pictures in her free time. Back in Naples, in 2017 she got passionate about Street Photography and since then her work has been exhibited in various photography festivals and exhibitions worldwide, and it has been featured in numerous international magazines and webpages. Since 2020 Francesca has been a member of an international street photography collective called Through the Lands, whose aim is to connect photographers from around the world. In 2021 she appears, among other 99 female street photographers, in the book Women Street Photographers edited by Prestel Publishing. In 2023 an article about Francesca has been published on the italian magazine Il Fotografo. In the same year she collaborates with Fujifilm Italia to narrate one of their X-Stories; and she wins the second prize with her collection Napolism at the Gothenburg Street Photo Festival. She was also invited to collaborate with international street photography magazine Eyeshot Magazine to lead a series of photographic experiences organized in Naples during the Eyeshot Open Call 2023 exhibition. In 2024 her name appears among 5 Masters of Street Photography (along with Martin Parr, Stefano Mirabella, Eolo Perfido, and Gabriele Galimberti) on the magazine Fotocult.it; and she publishes her first Zine with Docu Magazine. In 2025 she exhibited her Napolism project at the Festival Fotografico Europeo near Milan. Francesca has been a judge and guest speaker at several international street photography festivals (Gothenburg, Istanbul, Athens, Brussels, and Rome) and has been leading workshops in Italy and abroad.
